I'm a composer, music producer, sound designer, and audio engineer from San Francisco, CA. The first piece of music I ever wrote was a theme song for a character in a Ghibli-themed home brew Dungeons & Dragons campaign. I spent most of my childhood as both a competitive pianist and a nerdy internet gremlin creating anime fan sites on Angelfire.
Later in life I discovered that... well, synthesizers have keys too. Since then I've picked up new instruments, creating all manner of beeps and boops and strange worlds, and writing all sorts of electronically inspired music and fusing them with organic and instrumental textures that I gather from foley and recordings. I love to blur the lines between music and sound design -- to me it is all simply sound that transports you to a new place.
While I originally got degrees in computer science, I went back to school to study music production, sound engineering, and game audio at Pyramind Music & Audio Production Institute after spending nearly a decade as a professional software engineer and technical lead in tech. In addition to audio and music production, I have worked professionally with C#, C++, and Python, and can comfortably make my way around merge conflicts and project management tools.
Outside of games work, I also produce and release music under the moniker Ariyassa, collaborating with music producers across various genres, and blending my unique style of sonic world building with electronic music.
